A soapy massage uses soap, foam and warm water, usually in a shower or bath, and the masseuse washes and massages the client. It is an adult massage style, closer to a bath than to a table treatment.
What a session involves
Sessions usually start with a shower together or a wash given by the masseuse, followed by a soaped massage, often finishing on a table or bed with oil. It needs a suitable room, with a shower or bath and a non slip floor, which is why it is more common at a studio than as an outcall.
How it differs from other styles
- Soapy. Soap and water, in a wet room.
- Nuru. A seaweed based gel, applied on a plastic sheet.
- Body to body. Oil, with the masseuse using her body.
The adult massage styles compared puts them side by side.
What to check first
- That the venue has the facilities, and what the total price is.
- How long the session runs, and what is included.
- Whether it is in a licensed premises. Rules differ between boroughs.
Safety
Wet floors are slippery, so go slowly. Soap can irritate sensitive skin and should not be used on broken skin, so say so if you have a skin condition. The law on what a session may include is covered under happy ending massage.
