Searching for escorts in your own city mostly leads to adverts. This site is a reference guide. It sets out the law in each part of the UK, the checks worth making before you book, and how long London is, because London is where the prices on this site are measured and where the profiles it names are based.
The law differs across the UK
England and Wales
Selling and buying sex between consenting adults is legal. The offences sit around it: soliciting, keeping a brothel, controlling someone else's work for gain, and paying someone who is being exploited. See Birmingham.
Scotland
Also legal between consenting adults, with its own offences for soliciting, kerb crawling, brothels and living on earnings. A bill to criminalise buying sex was rejected by MSPs on 3 February 2026. See Glasgow.
Northern Ireland
Different. Paying for sex has been a crime since 1 June 2015, with a fine or up to a year in prison. Selling is not an offence. See Belfast.
