Body to body massage, often shortened to B2B, is a massage in which the practitioner uses her own body as well as her hands, usually with oil. It is overwhelmingly an adult service rather than a therapy.
What a session involves
You start with a shower, then lie on a mat or a low table. The practitioner covers you both in oil and works slowly along your body with her hands, forearms and the length of her own body. Sessions typically run sixty to ninety minutes, and the room is kept warm because nobody is covered by a towel for long.
What it includes
That depends entirely on the practitioner, and it is the question to settle before you book rather than during. Many include intimate touch if the client asks for it, some do not, and a few are straightforward spa treatments with no sexual element at all. The advert or the conversation beforehand should say which, in plain words. If it does not, assume nothing.
Licensed spa or adult service
Some licensed spas offer a body to body technique as a non sexual treatment, and they will say so and show their council licence. Most places that use the phrase mean an adult service. Massage premises in London are licensed by the borough, and licence conditions prohibit sexual services, so a business openly offering them is working outside the terms of a standard massage licence. The happy ending guide covers where the legal lines sit.
How it differs from nuru and tantric
Nuru uses a slippery seaweed gel and a mat, and is more athletic. Tantric is slow, quiet and breath led, and runs longer. Body to body sits between them: oil rather than gel, more contact than a standard massage, and a pace that depends on the person. The comparison guide puts all of them side by side.
What to ask before booking
- How long the session is, and what it costs for that length
- What is and is not included, in her words
- Whether there is a shower, and whether it is part of the time
- Whether it is incall only, which it almost always is
