A latex or rubber fetish is a sexual interest in clothing made of latex, the glossy, close fitting material. It is one of the most common fetishes and is lawful between consenting adults. In an escort advert, latex means the escort wears or can wear it. It is an offer, agreed beforehand, and there are a few safety basics worth knowing.
Latex and rubber
The words are used interchangeably. Latex is the material, a thin sheet of natural or synthetic rubber, and rubber is the older name. Catsuits, gloves, stockings and masks are the usual items. Many people like the feel, the shine and the smell, and some like the way it holds the body.
In an advert
An escort or dominatrix who lists latex is saying she owns it and is willing to wear it, or to have you wear it. It is often found alongside domination and other fetish services, and may be charged extra. Fetish and domination escorts explains the labels, and the services index covers the other terms.
Safety basics
- Allergy. Latex allergy is real and can be serious. Tell the other person if you have one, and ask for synthetic alternatives. Latex condoms are also a risk for people who are allergic.
- Heat. Latex does not let skin breathe, so you can overheat and dehydrate. Take breaks, drink water, and stop if you feel dizzy or unwell.
- Dressing. Latex goes on with a lubricant or powder, and some are not suitable for use with oil based products. Ask what the escort uses and what she needs from you.
- Masks and hoods. Anything that covers the face or restricts breathing carries serious risk. Never use one without proper knowledge, and never leave a masked person alone.
Agreeing it
Agree it before the booking, in plain words, with the price, the place and what the session involves. A no is final and needs no reason. Kink meaning and how booking works cover the wider rules.
